Terms of Service

Last updated: June 3, 2026

These terms apply to your use of Diya. By using the app, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Diya. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Subscriptions And Billing

Diya may offer Diya Premium as an auto-renewable monthly subscription purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system. The paywall and Apple's purchase sheet show the current free-trial offer, subscription price, billing period, renewal terms, and any applicable taxes or charges before purchase.

Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, paid subscriptions renew monthly and your Apple ID payment method is charged by Apple. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Diya does not process your payment card information directly.

Spiritual And Educational Content

Diya offers spiritual reflection, educational content, and AI-assisted conversation. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or religious counsel from a qualified person.

AI Responses

AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or vary across Hindu traditions. Use your judgment, and consult trusted teachers, texts, or qualified professionals when accuracy or personal safety matters.

User Content

You retain ownership of messages, prompts, voice inputs, reflections, or other content you choose to provide. By providing content to Diya, you grant us and our service providers permission to use, transmit, process, and reproduce that content only as needed to provide the app features you request, operate the service, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Do not submit content that you do not have the right to provide.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Diya to harm others, violate laws, abuse the service, or interfere with the app's operation. Do not reverse engineer the app, attempt unauthorized access to the service, or use Diya to generate or distribute illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or otherwise objectionable content.

Third-Party Services

Some features may depend on third-party services, including AI providers and YouTube. Those services may have their own terms and policies. The Listen experience may open or embed YouTube content through YouTube's embedded player. By using YouTube playback in Diya, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Diya does not own or control YouTube content and does not download, extract, or redistribute YouTube media.

Diya Content And Intellectual Property

Diya's design, branding, code, app-written explanations, and other app materials are owned by us or used with appropriate rights. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Diya except as permitted by law.

Service Availability

Diya is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the app, AI responses, YouTube playback, reminders, or hosted services will always be accurate, available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Diya. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Diya if we believe your use violates these terms, creates risk, or harms other users, the app, or service providers. You may stop using Diya at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use of Diya after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, except where local law requires otherwise.
